uturis team members were engaged in the corporate safety auditing programme for Anglo American Plc from 2007 to 2010, leading Peer Review audits at surface and underground mining operations, reviewing safety performance against the Anglo American ‘Safety Way’. The audits were carried out at exploration operations, surface and underground mines, concentrator and mineral processing facilities and support operations throughout Chile, Brazil, Venezuela, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa, for copper, nickel, iron ore, and diamond operations. The Peer Review scope included a full range of operational hazards including transportation, slope stability, fall of ground, process control, hazardous substance management and workplace risks such as confined spaces, work at height, hot work, amongst others. The Peer Review teams included a range of operational managers and EHS specialists from across Anglo American’s global operations.
